Helping Students Succeed at Work by Defining Character Traits
Description: Teachers, Work-Based Learning Coordinators, and Counselors will learn how to take character talk from theory to implementation using the Name it, Own it, Do it process. Educators will learn how to help students "Name it" with an action-based definition of the character trait using examples of behaviors. Then help students "Own it" by identifying personal changes in behavior. Finally, cementing the use of the character trait with "Do it" through journaling and long-range goal setting. This is a not to miss workshop, back with practical resources and ideas to use in your CTE Classroom this year.
