Overview

Career and technical education is an extensive array of secondary and postsecondary instruction preparing students with technical/academic skills and behaviors to be successful in careers and further education. New York State’s CTE delivery system consists of over 1,100 CTE providers in school districts, BOCES, and postsecondary institutions. In the school year 2014-15, approximately 140,000 students were served in nearly 3,000 secondary programs. At the postsecondary level, 190,000 students were enrolled.
