Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion - Analyze Racialized Identities and Bias in School Improvement Efforts

Description: Participants will be invited to investigate the impact of micro-aggressive culture on school communities, to analyze and confront challenges to “race talk” in schools, to conduct a deep dive into the tenets of culturally responsive-sustaining pedagogy, to engage with theoretical frameworks, and develop greater levels of critical consciousness, and to foster a “brave space” for interrogation and learning as a community.

Design Programmatic Elements for Support, Healing and Restoration in school communities

Description: Participants will begin actively assessing their school communities, identify ways to leverage resources and stakeholders, employ prescriptive approaches to operationalizing ABAR (Anti Bias and Anti-Racist) practices, incorporate restorative problem solving for communal healing, and critically address inequity/disproportionality. Participants will identify areas of inquiry, points of impact, and create a timeline of benchmarks for the comprehensive action planning.

Description: Research indicates that students' success in both college and career demand an ability to write effectively for a variety of purposes.
