Career Pathway Exploration Projects for CTE Classes - A three-part series

As students study and practice the skills needed for particular jobs, they should also learn about career pathways in the field, including pathways of advancement, related careers and transferable skills. Learn how to design a career pathway exploration project that includes students’ development of digital skills, research skills, interest assessments, reading skills and presentation skills, strengthening reading, writing and speaking skills while learning about industries of interest. Open to teachers, counselors, and administrators, this three-session series gives participants the opportunity to experience a project-based learning module on career exploration, which they can use as a model to implement in their own programs. Each activity is scaffolded, culminating in a presentation of career exploration research.
