Two Part Video

As K-12 schools begin to address the effective implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), Next Generation Assessments and teacher evaluation based on student performance, CTE must be seen as a solution to these challenges.  With declining resources, programs that are not seen as central to improving student performance will face eliminations.  Therefore, CTE leaders have answers to a series of critical questions to share with senior level district administrators and their staff.

Among the questions are:

  • How can CTE help students be successful with the CCSS and on the Next Generation Assessments?
  • Can CTE build a teacher evaluation system that focuses on their students' successful mastery of the CCSS?
  • Can CTE drive career applications into instruction in academic courses in their schools?
