Today's Girls are Tomorrow's Women -- will they be ready and prepared to take leadership roles in the working world they will face?
Successful Women of Today can inspire young high school women, the Women of Tomorrow, by providing the vital tools, resources, and support necessary to succeed in college and career. By hearing from accomplished, determined women who have pursued careers in various career clusters, they will be more prepared to set lofty goals and to create realistic plans to achieve them.
Several schools in New York City, after attending the Today's Girl Tomorrow's Woman Conference, created TGTW Clubs in their schools. They plan activities to inspire and empower their peers. Activities have included guest speakers to the school, visits to companies that have women executives, and inviting all members to read a book that provides inspiration to young women and then discussing it. Some of the TBTW Clubs have enlisted the assistance of successful women to serve as mentors to the high school students. One created a Big Sister Little Sister Power Lunch at a firm where high school students were treated to a Power Lunch and business meeting. The possibilities are limitless.
